Life, in all its Fullness.

Archbishop Esua Foundation
We are a Catholic charity dedicated to educating, empowering, and uplifting the most vulnerable young people in Cameroon and beyond.

our mission

We believe…

…every child deserves the chance to reach their full potential.

Inspired by the gospel and the lifelong service of Archbishop Emeritus Cornelius Fontem Esua, we work to ensure that poverty never stands in the way of a child’s education or a community’s growth.

About Us

From a Rural Village to the Archbishop’s House.

Archbishop Cornelius Fontem Esua was born in the remote village of Mbetta. If it hadn’t been for a small Catholic school opened by missionaries, he would have spent his life as a palm nut harvester like many of his peers.

Because someone provided that school, he was able to become a priest, a bishop, and a leader. ARBEF was created to pay that gift forward—making sure today’s children in remote villages have the same chance to change their lives.

Our logo: our commitment

Rooted in Life.

Our logo is the Oil Palm Tree. In Cameroon, every single part of this tree is used to sustain life—from the oil in the nuts to the leaves for roofs. It represents our commitment to “Integral Human Development.”

We don’t just provide a desk; we nurture the whole person—body and soul.

What We Are Doing

Sponsoring Education

We provide scholarships for orphans and underprivileged children to attend schools where they receive a holistic, moral, & intellectual education.

Empowering Youth

We support marginalized young people and those with special needs in rural areas, providing them with the tools and training to build a better future.

Building Communities

From rural development to entrepreneurship, we sponsor projects that help families become self-reliant and communities flourish.

Throughout our ministry, we have seen the heartbreaking reality of schools closing and children being left behind because of poverty. I remember the parents in Menkaf village pleading in tears for their school to be reopened.

We were able to help them, and today, those children are thriving.
